That's a shame mate. But good on ya for getting out there and doing the hard yards!

Good on yah for getting out there in this heat Rod. Shame about the Boar. 42 degrees in the shed  , you would be hard pressed to stay hydrated. Is there any water/creeks out there? Cheers Steve

Hi Rod,

I feel your pain mate.... I went hunting Tuesday for a four day solo trip.... Let's just say I was home by 11pm Tuesday night....
I walked most of the day and it felt like I'd walked for three...!

42 degree heat and big ass hills don't sit well with me...

Cheers Guy
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!

The heat is harsh mate it sucks the life out of you, being a butcher i work in the cool all day and in and out of cold rooms so i don't do so well when it gets over about 32 33 degrees

Hey Rod,

I narrated your story to Steve who was in another part of the house, and then when I'd finished reading I said "geez he must have taken a lot of food to be cooking all night and again the next day....." Steve stuck his head around the door and said very wryly "no Petal, he cooked, not he cooked !!
 .. ...oh yeah .....

the wimsy of me....

cheers

Nice effort Rod, heat is a real killer and knocks the wind out of you.

Taking it slow doesn't seem to help much, I reckon you will have a ripper trip next time!

You crazy bugger! 'Ol Rod must think I need to lose weight 'cause he tried to convince me to join him on this one ( We usually hunt together) but I told him "no chance" and that he's as mad as a bag of cats!!

Gotta admit your a committed hunter Rod, walkin' around in weather like this, I tips me hat to ya. I was havin' trouble walking the length of the shed today. This time of year it's OK to hunt where you can drive to within a few hundred yards of the dams and waterholes and just sneak in for a look. Even that can get ya cookin' in this weather, but at least you can have a cool drink waitin for ya in the vehicle  Bugger walkin' miles between spots.

Sue, you crack me up  must be never a dull moment in your camp!

Cheers........ Rod
