Hey guys, I have been trying to hunt rabbits and have been at 2 different properties where the owner said they have lots of rabbits everywhere. After being to each property and seeing 2-3 rabbits I was wondering if maybe because of the coming summer they might be keeping "indoors" in their holes more then out and about.
I know that they come out more during the night like kangaroos but I also know that when I go for a run along Burns beach at sunset I can see hundreds at times and none at other times.
So to make the long story short.
What is the best "season"/time to find some rabbits walking around?
Thanks all!!

Re: Rabbit Season
note where they are when you see them, get there early morning, pre dawn. Rabbits are creatures of habit. they will be there. when there is light, you shoot.
they are always most active at dawn and dusk
cheers

Re: Rabbit Season
one reason they like dawn and dusk not as good for flying if you are a hawk
