Solo trip to Moonie

#1 Post by Gringa Bows » Wed Jul 18, 2012 5:07 pm

I decided to get away for a few days hunting alone last week with a recurve I'd made. My camp was in a shearing shed,comfortable enough. I've been to this block a fair bit over the last 4-5 years. I'm not much chop at writing so I'll put up a couple pics I took :biggrin:

I found a bit of pig sign.

I found a good spot where the pigs were obviously going through one of the fences.

One afternoon I decided to wait in ambush at this location and managed to get a shot at a young boar. It was my first kill with my recurve.

You need to calm down a bit a learn to contain your excitement, Big Fella! :razz: :lol:

Hey, good job, Rod! Great sunset photos, too.
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Great photos Rod - you're getting a bit "artsy" now aren't you with those pretty sunset shots. :lol:

A nice pig mate - to claim as a first for the 'curve... great to see some hunting shots again - I was going into withdrawals! :wink:
