Queens Birthday hunt

#1 Post by Slackshot » Thu Jun 14, 2012 8:39 am

G/day,I took some of our club members for an outing on the weekend. The deer are starting to build up in numbers out there and it was great to see the smiles on the kids faces as they walked away from us and the wows from the dads.Plenty of pigs where also spotted and two new hunter dads missed at short range(with wheels i might add ) I took a nice eater with my new homemade takedown,i was with grof alias Adam and his son Jake.I tried to get them on the shot but it was not to be and i was in the right spot so i took him with a nice heart shot and he expired in 4 steps.Anyhow a couple of photos for everyone

Good stuff Gary!!! It's always great seeing young fellas and the not so young being taken out and given the opportunity to bowhunt while under the watchful eye of someone experienced such as yourself. Good onya mate.

good judgement comes from experience and experience comes from poor judgement
Nothing is easy. That's why it's called hunting, and not killing

Nice work Gary... It looks like you all had a ball...!

Cheers Guy..
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!
