My bowhunting drought continues... But Old Dave gets one!

Dave and I checked-out a new spot that Tony suggested we look-at (Thanks, Tony! You'd better book tickets for the middle of next year!); it certainly has lots of potential for future adventures, but as it was all new to us we did spend a fair amount of time learning where not to go and how to get to the good spots without getting stuck in ruts! (Dave might cop a mention in regard to driving into ruts in a future issue of Archery Action...) Anyway, Dave scored his first kill with his 65# at 27" Black Widow PSA2 and his home-made Douglas fir arrows. Anyway, here're a few pictures:

Hey, Tony: You'll be pleased to know that Dave has decided that bow quivers really do not hold enough arrows, and that after this hunt he has figured-out a way to modify a Selway so that it can hold nine broadhead arrows plus a couple of blunts on piggy-backers!

Look forward to reading your story in Archery Action Ben. Love reading your and Tony's write ups, as they're always entertaining. Good stuff.

Thanks for the photos Ben and good to see you got out for a wander. It looks like you may have expected to get a crack a buff going by that double barrel? Congrats to Dave on his pig; better get him on a computer and on here.

It looks like you have some dust on the sensor of your camera too - it show up clearly as the grey spot in upper right of the first two photos.

Thanks, fellows!

Luke, it's a 65# PCHx... really nice to shoot.

Jeff, yep, I do need to clean the camera. I didn't notice it until you mentioned it. The double was there as reptile repellent but moreso for a chance at a buffalo, the fresh tracks and sign of which we saw some, always taunting us. Dave isn't really a computer person.

Cheers, all!
