It happened

#1 Post by Keith Lee » Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:13 pm

On the recent trip to Texas my companion was a mate named Ferddy from Switzerland, he has done quite a bit of bow hunting around Europe but has never taken an Australian pig or goat. Even though he has been on many hunting trips with LB Rod and I, they just seem too elude him. The trip started off the same way, found a good number of pigs the first day, no luck with them.
Next morning we went in different directions, arriving back in camp around noon. How did you go Ferddy? no good he said, seen a few but no luck, so I informed him there was about a dozen goats camped on the hill in view of camp, they picked the perfect spot, 50mts of clear ground, so we sat back in the shade had some lunch, keeping an eye on the goats with the binnos, an hour and a half later there was movement in camp. Ferddy don’s his gear, so I inform him if he doesn’t get one he will be sent to his room with no dinner, looks like I’LL be going to bed hungry tonight, about 15minutes later I see Ferddy loading the 90lb Gringa and not long after the sound of a goats cry, he’s got one, I grab the camera and run up the hill, there was one happy Ferddy who then informs me that he got two with one shot , unbelievable! first kill on goats and he gets two with one arrow.

Ay Keith, good news for Ferdy, when I saw him last month, he said you and he was going down to Texas, (Australia) for a shoot. 2 goats with one arrow, only Ferdy with a 90lbs Gringa. Well done. Cheers Roadie.
