have a look at my ...fly
I noticed some nice Flies posted a while ago and wondered if any of you guys would appreciate a couple of my creations, they took quite a while to make ( quite a bit longer than is practical i might add ). Many want me to make them a few but boy are they time consuming. I would now rather buy the buggers, except for the satisfaction of catching the fish on something you invented and tied for yourself! But never the less here they are.

Re: have a look at my ...fly
They look excellent!!! Have you caught some fish using them as like you say it would be a buzz catching them on the ones you have made yourself?

Re: have a look at my ...fly
I have on all of them, but the little Muddeye doesn't do as well as the large black one or the Tadpole. The one with the wings seems to be the best just on dusk when the fish are slurping insects off the top of the water.

I havent taken a camera in years, not on a fishing trip or even a hunt. I may have to consider it some time. Though I haven't really broken any records I just love spending the time as rare as that time is.

Man they are a piece of work well done. Do you get a fair bit of Flotation in the ones with out the lead eyes, with the air trapped in the weaving.
You have really pinned the coloures there as well.
Great flies.
Cheers Wayno

Re: have a look at my ...fly
Wayno it took ages to balance the Copper and lead wire so they sat up the right way and moved properly, the small one still needs some re-adjustment. But they are quite effective especiall on carp in lakes and small streams. The Tadpole is weighted also, not that you can see.

Re: have a look at my ...fly
First class!. I would be afraid to use them in case I lost them to a fish or snag. Too much work in there to waste on a lowly fish lol. The only time i tried flies was on rifle fish and sooty grunter up near tully back when the dinosaurs were still roaming the Earth. Made them out of the coloured alfoil that used to come on milk bottles then, wrapped it around a hook and stuck a couple of small blue mountain parrot feathers I found each side.Had to throw it out by hand as i was using a egg beater reel, but boy it got some reactions, with fish 'elbowing' each other to get to it.I can truly appreciate the work you must have put into those.Great stuff!

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!

Wow! That's craftsmanship!
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

If you were saying mine were nice - yours are sensational!!!
Love the raffia work - I've done a few crawdads with that stuff in the past but not to the same effect.
I just bought a whole heap of buzzer hooks in the UK so will have a go at some like yours.
Fantastic!
