Broadhead selection

Hi I’m just preparing to start hunting with a 45# recurve and trying to decide what broadheads to use with wooden arrows.
Any suggestions?
At the moment I’m thinking Tusker javelins, but I’d really like a 3 blade like the woodsman but can’t seem to find them.

I can remember the old Bod Kin M A3 back 40 years or so. For some reason they seemed to lose favour to the two bladed broadhead it being easier for the two bladed head to pass between rib bones.
Others claimed they were difficult to sharpen to a good edge.

I’ll check them out. Today I was advised to try out the ribtek might look into those as well. I think I’d like to buy Australian if I can.

I would suggest you stick with a cut on contact two blade head, especially using 45lb. They will give you the best penetration with a properly tuned bow and arrow combination.

Ribteks are hard to find now archery supplies in adelaide have some still but not sure what weights they have available, try Outback broadheads, they are all 100% Australian made and good price as well, they fly great and sharpen well.

I use Ribteks but they aren't available much anymore as their manufacture was ceased some years ago now. The Tusker would be fine as would the Outbacks that Bodie mentioned. All the best with your bowhunting.
