Battle Castle SBS

Morning All.

Been watching Battle Castle on SBS the last few weeks? If not you could catch up on the SBS Websit.

:smile: Yeah, been watching it also, it is interesting, a nice looking Yew bow, not the most accurate shooting, but they did hit their target, so the camera tells us?

pretty good show.......almost as good as Heartbeat and Rake.

would be even better if we were not bashed by the american/history channel... repeat repeat disease.

Better than nothing and if it was not for History Channel money it would be noting.

Did people notice the size of the Bow (length)

p.s. Did anyone watch QI the other night. re comment on Archers Salute origin.

yes i have seen it before, i have also gone onto the Q.I web site and there is more fascinating things to read about the 2 fingered salute

Grahame,

Apart from the length of the bow the elliptical tiller caught my attention. Even when approaching full draw the outer length of the limbs appear to be relatively stiff which probably helps the bow to shoot heavy arrows.

Personally I prefer an elliptical tiller in longbows.
