Looking at that makes you wonder how we hit anything. It seemed to be travelling nock high most of the way too

I reckon Graham posted this because the second vid showed a "Recurve" beating a 'Compound" in a shoot off! :D The guy still beat the compounder cheating with a paraplegic bow! :shock:

Small fletches so the arrow is not brought back to flying straight quickly.

No, not really. The reason I posted the link to Rob's collection is because of the Slo-Mos. The more Slo-Mos I see of bows being shot and arrows in flight the more I learn - and I need all the help I can get.

I have shot a fair few Slo-Mos of arrows myself. Have a look. http://www.youtube.com/user/mortimermou ... 3eFL0Or5AY Note the oscillation in the arrow in flight however, the attitude of the arrow is good.

Note that as the number of arrows in an event decrease the likelihood of chance being a determinant increases.
