Bows in Movies

#1 Post by GrahameA » Sat Nov 20, 2010 6:47 am

Morning All.

For me it is interesting when different bows turn up in movies. I watched "Black Robe" the other night and was surprised to see a couple of Penobscot bows being used. Here is the trailer from the film and if you stop the playback at 1:18 you can see that the Iroquois is using a Penobscot bow.

Good call Grahame. I have not watched that movie for 20 odd years.

From the still in your post it can also be seen that the archer has perfected the extremely difficult "look away to the side" aiming method.
