Want to build an Egyptian Composite Bow? Or perhaps even see an original?

Grahame,

This clip has got me even more excited for the Salukis arrival....... but the 300fps bit.... I'm not so sure of....!!!!

Cheers Guy.. :D
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!

would that 300 fps be for the real bows (as in the mongels and egyptian bow) not the new ones? very interesting to watch.

may your arrows fly straight and true and your limbs return.

Hmm.... 300fps it may be a tad optimistic - but then again I always want to see the numbers.

The Saluki will be something different. I notice that Lukas is often seen shooting in superb castle grounds - I hope you have arranged for something similar for your use of said bow. :D

Great stuff Grahame, especially the Egyptian bow, but 300 fps ? That guy is off with the fairies ! how many modern bows shoot much over 200fps ? My 70lb compound with hunting weight arrows shoots at 240fps . I'd reckon that Mongol bow would struggle to go past 200.
Hmmmmmmm.............
