Morning All.

This is a very interesting photo for those who are interested, You can see the change from laminar to turbulent flow.
The air flow along the first part of an arrow is laminar (or 'smooth').
A little way along the shaft it changes to turbulent.
Here is a picture of that transition from laminar to turbulent flow.
The front of the arrow is to the left.
The transition happens about 100 mm from the front for typical arrow velocities.
(These sorts of pictures are quite challenging to obtain.)
