Creeping Quiver

#1 Post by curve » Thu Sep 15, 2016 5:13 pm

For those of you who may have a Thunderhorn Boa quiver - how do you stop the hood and arrow holder from creeping up the limbs - I have them both as tight as I dare i.e. on the 3rd hole from the end and have tried double sided tape and other means but they still move. Not a deal breaker and its still a great quiver - but would be even better if it stayed put. Any ideas?

I have both Selway and Thunderhorn bow quivers and what I have done with my recurves that have the 1/4" inserts in the risers for bolt on quivers and I have screwed in mushroom headed screws with a bit of plumbers tape on them so they tighten up about 3mm proud under the head and then I
hook an O'ring under the head of the mushroom screw and have over the limb bracket of the quiver.
If you go to my post about Black Widow limb finish, you can see the O'ring in the picture.
It works great, stops the quivers from coming loose.

Sorry guys - perhaps I wasn't clear - the quiver is a strap on not a bolt on - thanks

That is the type I have and use the o'rings to hold in position. The Thunderhorn Boa seems to hold position better than my Selway quick detach, so I always use o'rings with the Selway.

Cheers Matt - will give the O rings a go...although there are no screws holes in my riser - I will try slipping the O ring over the limb and above the quiver bracket - hopefully it may stop it sliding up the limb...

Hi
Just be careful the o ring don't take off the finish of the limb as some rubbers do that.

Sell it and buy a marksman quiver.
The degree of satisfaction gained from the accomplishment of a goal is directly proportional to the hardships and challenges overcome in order to achieve it.

Cut some bands from a bicycle tube. Double them up and and roll them on the limb. This will act as a stopper and stop the sliding up.
It's what I use to stop my Marksman from sliding
