how do you hunt...back quiver, bow quiver...... was using a back quiver but it was a pita...then went to a quick quiver I got from the states but the heads are exposed...the back quiver I find rattle and get caught up in undergrowth etc....the bow quiver I like.......bow I'm shooting and setting up is an echidna longbow...can't make my mind up and putting it out there on ozbow for advice

I use bow quivers and have used Selway quivers for almost twenty years, they are fantastic.
I also have a Thunderhorn and its great as well. Both brands six arrow capacity and quick detach or strap on.

I have used either a Great Northern Strap On Bow Quiver or a Homemade Horizontal or Side Quiver.
I especially like the Hip Type Quiver as they are so versatile. I have no problems wearing them when Hunting when wearing a Pack. They are very maneuverable and can be tucked under the Arm or pushed behind your Back, even pushed along in front depending on the situation you find yourself in. Generally Bow Quivers greatest disadvantage is weight added to the Bow and lack of Arrow Capacity. For short Hunts neither of these is an issue.

I use a Selway slide on 6 arrow bow quiver on all my bows. You get use to the extra weight quickly so the only drawback I find is the small amount of arrows.

I use a bow quiver these days ,6 arra but i usually only put 4 arrows in it,not often i need any more where i hunt...........but i like the side quivers too

Does the extra weight of a strap on bow quiver, ie Boa or Selway, and it being attached to the limbs help to quieten the bow at all ?

I use a back quiver for around home target shooting, but I hunt with a 4 arrow bow quiver. Either strap on or bolt on depending on the bow I am using. I have both 2 piece as well as 1 piece models I don't think that any performs better than the next as long as they can be secured well and don't rattle then which ever is fine
Its just so much easier to stalk through the scrub and when you have to crawl on your belly to have the arrows on the bow..

Bow Quiver for me, Big Jims strap on 5 arrow. Very light and easy to put on / take off. Used Selway previously but to heavy and not a fan of there fixing systems.
