#1 Post by ozzy » Fri Dec 28, 2012 8:24 am

g'day all

have a question,i bought a spine jig off keith forrester on here(good product i recommend it)but the question is the jig is AMO which is 2lb @26 the jig is 26.8 inches...in the scheme of things would the .8 of an inch make a difference to the spine reading ...if so how would i calculate to be the spine at 26''

if you get what i mean

Mick,

Keith's jig was meant to to have the supports 27 inches apart. To match your spine readings to the AMO just lighten your 2lb weight to .894 grams and all will be sweet as they say.

Make your weight 894 grams. I inadvertently put a decimal point in front of the 894 in my above post as I was thinking kgs. A 2lb weight is 907 grams I think. From memory Keith's jig would read about two to three pounds light with a 2lb weight.

With your set up you may find 45/50 pound spine arras to be enough. All the best with getting things sorted.
