Hike last weekend...Rainforest Trek

#1 Post by gundy » Mon Jun 15, 2009 9:37 pm

I only had a couple of hours late one arvo, so decided to take the kids up to one of the local parks for a trek through the rainforest. On went the day pack and we were off.

The weather held out long enough for us to walk a few of the trails. It was cold!

The kids had a ball and kept up with well over what I thought they could handle. Their stamina and enthusiasm will only get them invited along to more treks with me... 8)

Mate...beautiful photos and excellent memories...

Not only a Trad bowhunter but a trad great guy...always impresses me to see a father spending time with his kids doing things that they will remember and cherish throughout their lives.

Congrats mate...you have your kids on the right path!
The best trophies I can hope to acquire as a husband, father, friend or hunter are MEMORIES!
They will travel with me wherever life's path leads...

Pretty spectacular! Were you scanning for sambar at the same time? :D
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Fantastic Guy! Great to see your kids loved it, this is the kind of thing they will remember well into adulthood. :D
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!
