Primitive Fire and Pottery

I've been making friction fires for about 3 years, and recently I've taken an interest in making pottery with primitive means. If this is topic does not belong here, feel free to relocate it to a more suitable category.

Both the drill and the baseboard are made from coastal hibiscus, which is what the local indigenous peoples used to use. A sharp stone flake was used to prepare the baseboard for the fire.

Will check it in the morning and see if it survived. This is the second pot I've fired so far, and I hope I didn't just get lucky on my first go!
