Get yourself a 4 foot piece of fiberglass stock, about 1.5 inches wide, and make him one. Wrap a handle around it and cut it to centershot, or cut it in half, make riser for the "limbs" and really impress the little tyke.
You might also look for the some of the old Bear 76ers on eBay. The ones that were red, white, and/or blue were normally around 35#s.
