troy - mate you'll miss some of those bows, but i suppose it's part of the delicate balance of things....

anyway guys - to anyone looking to purchase any of these bows i can vouch for both their condition and Troys trustworthiness - a first class guy to deal with. there are some great deals there, and in particular the newell defiant and the whip are both phenominal bows to shoot. whoever gets them will be very very happy.

Mate, I could say this is your fault  but you only initiated the inevitable  Luisa's reaction ran the gambit of :? :? :x   :? and said " you got your budget, you work it out " Bloody hell, 8 1/2 month pregnasaurs can be so unreasonable. TOUCHY

Yes mate, I will miss all of these bows, still keeping some good ones of course. The Whip especially is very probably the finest bow I have owned and shot. Its gone to a good home and I will get another one day. I was planning on spending the next 12 months dedicated to the Howard Hill anyway.

Thanks for the character reference mate, much appreciated.

And sorry guys, yes all the bows are right hand.
Pictures soon. Work busy.

Cheers

Guys, I did not mean to imply that sending to WA, SA or NT is out of the question. Just that I figure these will add a fair cost to the freight. So again. I can send them freight on so reciever pays, and deduct $30 from the above prices.

Cheers

REPLY TO A PM, THANKS FOR THE REMINDER TO SUPPLY SOME XTR INFO

Top...Damon Howatt Super Diablo

2nd ....Glen Newell Defiant

3rd....Howard Hill Bobcat

Bottom....Perks Longbow

Both the Diablo and the Defiant are very heavy hitters. The Defiant in particular feels like 65lb all the way to full draw  so it never actually feels like its stacking

Beautiful bow, the handle is actually thicker than I usually like in a bow, I like throttling my trad bows whether thats good or bad I don't know. But even though it is thick, it feels very comfortable and is a natural pointer.

I have to say that if I raise the funds I need before any more are sold I will be happy to withdraw them from sale and keep all of them. That would be the best win -win for me anyway. Until then, please to consider.

Cheers

:D :D :D :D :D :!:

G'day all. If any one happens to be interested in any of these bows in the coming few weeks, please understand that my replies may be more delayed than usual. I am on holidays as Luisa and I welcomed our first child into the world early Friday morning and I have been pretty occupied since then. I will be calling into work a couple of time a week if I am able, and make replies.

Cheers everyone from a very happy dad.

Congratulations to you and your lady on the birth of your baby :D

Oh, by the way, that baby bonus may be handy, and not just for the baby, if you get my drift

Thanks Brian and Axe.

Just called into the office, on way to chemist. been there a lot the last couple of days..

 I did hint, but was told that it was not a baby BOWnus. But that's OK. I got a bargain.

Cant wait till he starts shooting.

His name is Huxley David Stevenson. Huxley (for Tomas Henry Huxley ( Darwin's Bulldog ) & Aldous Huxley the SF author) and David, his late Grandfather.

Actually Darwin was up there as a favourite as well, my wife want to send him to a christian school so those two names will work a charm I reckon.

Gotta fly.

Cheers guys

Troy, i am curious about the longbow on the bottom. Could you explain a few details like wood and backing? It looks to me as if you have joined it in the middle, i am new to bowbuilding so forgive me if its nothing

Cheers mate.

PD, Yes mate that is the Perks Longbow. Yes the wood laminations do meet in the middle and are staggered for strength, sometime the joins are bevelled for strength rather than square as in this bow. I don't know if it makes a huge difference in strength but I think it would make at least a little. One of the other bow builders here would be better educated on that subject. It is a rock solid little bow none the less and I have seen other very high poundage Perks bows made the same and they were pretty solid as well.

Clinglish, sorry mate. I have been slack and working 11 hour days at the moment. Joined the morgage club you see, along with the parenthood club. Mate I will definitely have a picture on there by Friday for you to look at. I will be posting the bows for sale at the local club on Sunday but I will delay any takers for the Stingray until I hear a yea or nay from you as I have been late in my responses to you.

G'day Moreton, I'm well mate and Huxley is fantastic. Can't wait for him to come to archery and shooting but it is still a while yet. We've been extremely lucky mate, as he never stops smiling. Just have to keep him from having an interest in cricket or some such. Although a gernsey with the Brisbane Lions in ......2027 would be great. Certainly changes your life that's for sure, we used to be movie goers, I think we've been twice since he was born. How is your family and island life. Hope you've been getting a little relief with ocean breezes these last couple of weeks.
