That's handy to know Coach. The next time I want a string, I'll know where to go. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd learn how to make them for myself.

There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

Back onto the topic,
Have purchased a couple for myself, very well made & am pleased to say as good as any and cheaper than most I've purchased via archery shops :D

Gee Coach that's a very generous offer. I don't really need a string at the moment and I've even got a couple of spares for my Chekmates (I got Chad to make up a couple of extras with my orders).

I'm absolutely certain your strings would be "top notch". Your prices represent excellent value too, considering the price of the postage is included in the price.

I'll be sure to get in touch when I need some new strings.

Thanks again mate.

I can personally vouch for the quality of Coach's strings. Coach very kindly sent me a 48 inch black and white string for my 52 inch Bear Kodiak Magnum recurve. The string is perfect in every respect, and it is finished beautifully.

If you're in the market to buy a dacron flemish twist string, you won't do any better than buying one of Coach's. 8)

Keep an eye out in your letter box Coach, there will be a little something turning up soon.

There are probably quite a few people that make there own but for the average archer who only has 1 or 2 bows and doesn't go through strings too often I don't think it's worth buying all the gear.I think it's great that we finally have someone on the site who is prepared to have a go and start selling strings. How many posts do you see on this site and others from people wanting to know where to buy strings in Australia...Good on ya Coach...

Just thought I would show a Pic of the loops ,, slightly different to the normal twist in other strings ,, they sort of look "braided" .

Look pretty good to me Coach, I don't use dacron like a lot of other hunters, How about extending the business to fast flight aswell, I think it could open up a bigger clientel.

G'day Coach they look great,is that some sort of a splice you use?

Coach

#23 Post by Coach » Sat Feb 24, 2007 5:49 am

I suppose you could call it a splice , but it is not much different to a regular Flemish Twist string , just the colours have been alternated . :)

Coach

I don't know if my thoughts are representitive of most traditional archers, but personally, I don't care all that much about colours. I reckon if you offered just a couple of choices like yellow/brown and black/red, most of us would be happy with that.

If you could afford it, I think you would be best to offer strings made from all commonly used materials, including dacron and a couple of the modern low stretch "fast flight" types of materials. Maybe you could offer (as an option) some extra strands to make the loops a bit thicker when using fast flight (or similar material) strings as well.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

I think black and white is popular and goes with most wood combinations. I personally think Dyna Flight 97 would be one of the best materials to offer for Trad bows.

I've got the brace height right and some cats whiskers on The string from Coach and it is great ,Quiet as and good thickness around the loops.
