#1 Post by gundy » Mon Feb 14, 2005 7:04 pm

Excellent condition - RH, 52# @ 29", beautiful bow, one of the nicest I have ever shot. Extremely smooth, great to look at and the fit and finish is second to none.

For sale is the bow which has Red Elm limbs with a Bubinga Handle with Ebony & Silver Ash accent stripes, 2 strings, a custom Stickbow Traditions back quiver and arm guard as also custom made by Jeff.

SOLD pending funds

Will someone please buy this bl##dy bow so I can stop pestering my wife about it. Alternatively any advice on how to convince her this is a genuine need & not just me wanting new toys would be appreciated.
Cheers
Paul.

Dartonian,

tell her you would be getting an increasingly scarce (as the bowyer has retired) modern longbow by Australia's best craftsman of such, at a bargain basement price, and that it will be a priceless heirloom in years to come!

Seriously, can't vouch for the investment potential, but this is a temptation my own wife would kill me for giving in to, seeing as I already own 2 of Jeff's bows!

Gundy,
Do you have an idea how much poundage will drop as I only draw to 28"?.
Thanks,
Paul.
Oh, and thanks Erron... good ideas. I am serious about wanting to buy this bow but equally serious about keeping my wife onside too.

Well, I firmly believe that it is a tad heavier than stated...but, I would say that it would drop to 50# (???)

It's bloody fast....faster than a 54# @ 28 I have....

Take your time man - it stays.

I keep getting silly urges to make an offer on the quiver and arm guard....
I'm sure if things were offered seperately they could likely all find a home.

A few have asked to split them actually.

However, I would not go any lower than the stipulated price on the bow. it is worth every cent and some.

The quiver and armguard cost me $85 on top of the bow price.
