Fred Bear "Polar" long bow on ebay

according to the seller it's possibly circa early fifties. Opening at $100au.

That sure is interesting Buzz thanks. I'm sure someone will grab it as this one is genuine I believe.

I don't know the exact year that it would have been made but the Bear 'Polar' most certainly was in production by 1957.

The bear 'Polar' is in fact a semi-recurve and not a longbow. I know the sellar is saying it is a longbow and some people today would agree with him, but it was/is a semi-recurve and was sold as such.

I have attached a photo of a Bear 'Polar' and some other classic Bear recurve bows from the fifties. Check out the prices. :shock:

I'm sure there would be a lot of Bear bow collectors today that would take a dozen at that price also. Why, I'm sure they wouldn't even mind paying out $59.50 for a Kodiak Special either. :lol:
