raining recurves, bargains here.

#1 Post by bigbob » Wed Jan 13, 2016 2:34 pm

I have some recurves here that a friend asked me to sell on his behalf. They are in great shape and have just been on a wall display for years.Starting from the left the first bow is a Tru aim and is 50# @ 28'', the second is another Tru Aim and is 30# @ 28''; the third is another Tru Aim and is 38# @ 28'', the fourth is a Matco and is 35# @ 28'' and the last is a left hander Wing and is 70# @ 28''. Prices are all a very reasonable $150 each plus any shipping. some of these bows would be great starter bows or could be of interest to a collector. Make an offer for the lot if so. Pm me if interested in all or any.

forgot about lengths. some of these bows are very long by modern standards which would make them very forgiving. So now, first on left 58'', second 66''; third 66''; fourth about 62''[ no specs] and lastly the white wing leftie is unfortunately not 70# as I described but 70'' and is only 38# @ 28''

Would the Matco 35 be a good training bow?

either the Matco or the yellow Tru Aim would make a good training bow being longish and at a lightish draw weight. the Tru aim is only 3o# and the Matco is 35#. I am about to leave for a trad shoot in couple hours time [Friday around 1pm] and will be taking those two bows with me to put up for sale at the shoot.

the second and forth bows going from left in photo still there. First is 30# Tru aim, other is Matco at 35#. These are basically vintage bows and have marks and some sight holes in face of riser but other than that, have no visible stress marks or cracks . They have apparently been sprayed with some gloss and have over runs in few places.
