Bowron Lake canoe trip (BC)
First week of June found my wife and I paddling part of the Bowron Lake chain in central BC. It was a bit of a family affair as my sister and her husband and one of my cousins and his wife were also with us. Jeff's autumn pic's need to be offset by a few spring in the wilds of BC shots.
Caribou Falls- no, we didn't run them in the canoe.

Some great shots there RC, nice to see. It looks like a very relaxing way to spend a few days. I imagine the diet was supplemented with a few freshly caught feeds of fish?
How do you carry that Ol' Nikooon of your's in the canoe mate?

I used a Lowepro slingshot (AW 100) and threw my jacket over it when it really started to rain. I just took an 18-200 lens so it fit quite well in the slingshot.
Fish avoided me. A bit early yet for decent fishing, but the upside was the bugs weren't out in full force yet either. It was a nice 5 days.

I thought so. Seriously, I thought you may have had a waterproof container to keep it in when not using it. I hope it is insured. With the shallow depth of field in the first couple of wildlife photos I assumed you had the Nikon along.Carefully.
Thanks for the photos mate - very enjoyable viewing. It must be great paddling along and seeing the wildlife and those beautiful views. I imagine it would still be a bit chilly dipping the big toe in the water huh?

I would have had to have been out there a couple more days before taking a dip. Probably take a week for the lower "bits" to reappear after a swim. You know what? I really don't smell that bad after 5 days in the bush! (denial is a wonderful thing)I imagine it would still be a bit chilly dipping the big toe in the water huh?
