A great long weekend away
As posted elsewhere Jude and I spent four days at the Gold Coast last weekend for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We enjoyed quite a bit of time riding our motorbike up in the mountains and back roads behind the coast and northern NSW. These are just a few of the photos I took along the way.

Good on you, Jeff and Jude! And, superb photography! Thanks for sharing them.
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Thanks fellas, we are very happy indeed.
Grahame, yes that is our new bike. After Jude had her stroke in the latter part of last year and a subsequent heart operation to fix the cause of it earlier this year we decided it was time for us to try and do some more trips away and wanted a more comfortable bike for long distance travelling. We hope to put it to use later this year on a trip up north and are also planning a trip to Tassie in Feb-March next year.

Thanks Wayno and not a problem re the photo of that small cottage.
It's a bit of a problem when we ride sometimes as we would like to stop and take a photo but we are also enjoying the ride and don't feel like stopping - not a bad problem to have I guess.

Re: A great long weekend away
Thanks RC. Good to see you still visit us.
I like to see the autumn leaves as we don't get them up in our hotter climate. Some of the photos from your part of the world during fall are simply amazing and something I would love to see. Glad to hear some nice weather should be showing up for you. I hope you get to take that bow of yours for a walk or two.

Hey Jeff,
Oh I'm around a bit... just sticking to the Twain adage of "better to be silent and thought a fool then to speak and remove all doubt!" Haven't had much to post up lately and haven't been home much in the past couple of months. Just got back from a canoe trip so will throw up a few pics after the weekend.
cheers,
RC
