Morning All.
At the NAFA shoot there was a Crocdile on a float in the water. There also seemed to be lots of arrows going into the water and I decided I wanted a splash photo of an arrow going into the water.
So using the burst capability of my camera what I did was set myself up at 90 deg to the target and wound up the zoom. Then with the camera propped against a handy fork in a tree I focussed and then watched the Archer with my finger on the Shutter release. When I saw the archer shoot i pressed the shutter ans this is the result,
This is how the camera was setup. The shot was wide as you could not guarantee that the arrow would land in a small area.
So here is the arrow going into the water. Not a big enough splash.
And this is cropped and enlarged close up so you can see the arrow etc.
Now if I had a few more hours and the archer was shooting blunts I reckon I could have got a spectacular photo.

Re: The Splash Shot
Mate you should have been in my group I shot a flu flu and it went over top and left a very impressive bubble trail and splash all the way to the far bank. It was like one of those F1 boats.
