#1 Post by Slackshot » Thu Apr 24, 2008 5:30 pm

HI Fellow Archers
Been a while,so i thought i would send you some photos of the area i worked and lived in between Weipa and Arukun.Lived on a boat in the mouth of Norman Crk,with the crocs and worked on the mainland with the pigs ,wild dogs ,brumbies, etc. The photos are the natural colors not taken with any special filters. If you know the area there are plenty of places to hunt etc,i should be back up there in June to continue the work i was doing, so if your up that way say hi
Gary (slackshot)

Heya Sparra
We go around and drill the lines on the mining leases ,log in where the minerals are etc Pretty good job but unfortunately it only lasts 6 to7 months of the year because it is too wet up there so the money has to stretch a bit or find a job back here :( Living on the boat was good but 3 weeks on then 1 week off towards the end was getting a bit close. Some really great places to camp, fish and hunt up there .You would swear that some of the pigs where somebody s pets the way they ran around shaking their tails and bums when you drove past

Really ?? Sometimes the impression I get from other hunters , is that pigs are hard to hunt . Sounds kinda easy up there :D
