#1 Post by Tuffcity » Mon Oct 08, 2007 3:08 pm

Just returned from my annual fall hunting trip. Here's a few pic's of the Kootenay region of BC.

This elk was about a kilometre away so the shot was through a spotting scope.

Mule deer antlers. (this pic will be my new work computer wallpaper. :))

Really nice photos Richard. The third one is my favourite. 8)

There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

Great photos as usual RC. You certainly get to wander around in some beautiful country.

How about posting some details of your hunt as well mate. :wink:

:D

Just awsome, RC!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Coach: I killed him

Stick: I didn't post this in the hunting and fishing forum because, due to time constraints, we were rifle hunting. We did stop in and hunt for a day with a couple of TBBC members but after that we went to guns (large grizzly population made packing one while doing meat recovery a good idea).

We hunted for 5 days, mainly for elk but this muley was too good to pass up. :) Had to leave him over night because he was too far up the mountain to get out in the day light but the next day we skinned and halved him and packed him out a kilometre in distance and over 350 metres elevation change.

More pictures at photobucket

But here's a couple more scenery shots of the valleys and mountain sides we lurked about in.

What a beautiful place mate. I think I would want to carry a gun to with those big bears around. :shock: :D
