WisemansFerry2013

#1 Post by stringnstik » Mon Oct 21, 2013 10:36 am

Distance is nothing,
time is nothing,
threat of bushfires, pales to insignificance.
Wisemans Ferry 2013 was on and the die hard faithfuls of trad archery would let nothing bar their way.

So we got to tour via Macquarie pass. Not all was rosey, two vehicle accidents, no doubt encouraged by the extra traffic now flowing thru this only route west- east, delayed us again.

One of the great things of any tradshoot is watching the barriers of age, genre, demographic and geographic labels just melt into oblivion.

What a blast! Terrific photos Mark. at least SOME ONE TOOK A CAMERA THAT WORKED!!! So pleased to have had the opportunity to venture so far south and experience southern hospitality. Too many names to mention all, but really enjoyed the company of Mark Tony, Kev.[?] and Des who had to listen to me for hours while primed with some litres of chateau cardboard.Rob and Diane our lovely and generous hosts for the whole shoot. The work you guys do is legendary, and the courses and events first class. Its been many years since I experienced shots that nearly took ones toe nails off, and the next singed your eyebrows. Nice gradients!.Glad I never got to drag this miserable body up the mountain for the 'challenge' round. Brilliant shoot.Edit time ----Never mentioned your name Graydon, the pleasure was mutual and hope the fire has spared you and yours. Also Daryl who allowed me to accompany him on the 12 hour trip each way. Many thanks my friend and I still owe you.

It was a pleasure to meet you face to face. But that challenge round was fun
