Autumn

#1 Post by Stickbow Hunter » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:11 pm

Living up here in Queensland we don't get to see the beautiful colours of the changing leaves that those of you down south do. On our recent trip I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the autumn colours. We were a bit late but still got to see some beautiful colours none the less. I took a lot of photos but these are just a few.

We had the Prado parked in the main street of Tamworth and we came back and I spotted this lone leave, with the sun shining through it, sitting on the bonnet and I just had to take a photo.

Driving back from Nundle late one afternoon and we came around this corner and saw these trees. They looked amazing; glowing brilliantly with the sun shining through the leaves. The photos really don't capture how nice they looked.

These next three photos are of a tree just down from the caravan park where we stayed in Tenterfield. It's amazing, the more you look the more you see.

Great shots Jeff.

I just love deciduous trees and that one of the carpet of leaves makes me want to run through them :)

Hey Jeff
It must have felt like visiting another country, and you didn't even have to get out your Visa

Personally, it seems to improve the further I get from Canberra. Over the recent years I have noticed a step improvement in the things that interest me as I return back over the border to Qld.

Speaking of Australia - has anyone noticed the number of Vineyards in the rural areas around Canberra. Just an observation.
