Wow what a variety you've got there and some great shots of them to.
We can do without that last bloke though. Was he grumpy because you were about to do away with him?

Sadly you are right Keith but that doesn't stop me killing any I see in my yard. Thankfully we don't have them here much but recently since the floods a few have shown up but as I said, I took care of them.Keith Lee wrote:No Jeff i was going to harm him there part of QLD now,
It is a terrible shame that they are spreading so far now and pretty much across the top of the NT I believe.

Don't use the bow mate. Thankfully we don't have Indian Mynas here. However 60kms or so up the road in my home town of Childers there are heaps. As kids we used to wander around with the slug gun shooting them and Sparrows. We would cut their heads off and take them up to the council office and get paid a bounty for each head. We made good pocket money.hazard wrote:They would be good fun with blunts wouldn't they? A bit like taking out indian mynas
Imagine kids doing that now days, the SWAT police would be called and their parents locked up for life.

There are far too many regulations and restrictions, we live in a "Nanny State of being"Stickbow Hunter wrote:Don't use the bow mate. Thankfully we don't have Indian Mynas here. Jeff, you must have had a good childhood.
The best I could do was lure the sparrows into a cage with birdseed and cut a string which held the door open. We gassed them and got paid 50c a bird from my uncle. They ate all his chook seed.
