I was groveling in the garden the other day and I came across this little fella, Ive not seen one like this before.

That is a strange lookin' character alright Rob. :mrgreen: I'm glad you gave his size as I was going to ask.

Those owls aren't welcome around my place as they try and eat our native finches and parrots that are in our large garden aviary. :x

I fear for the mantis I hope he survives a good night out :wink: Great Pic though!

I love those owls I don't see enough of them my way, they bring in the Crows and Crows are difficult sprort!! :mrgreen:

How's the eyes on that owl? Strangely beautiful. 8)
As for the mantis, gotta admire the little fellas guts in shaping up like that! :biggrin: Maybe you should call him "Ali"! :wink: :biggrin:

That little fella (owl) is a Boobook owl,sometimes confused with the Mopoke (Tawney Fogmouth).Cause the Mopoke dont make the Mopoke sound ,if you follow me.The Bobook owl does,and Jeff yep they hang around the cages to hunt mice cause you have birds and because you have birds that little owl will hang around :lol: Dont ask i know
