Nightshift at work
Had some time free on nightshift with the camera.
The P&H Rope shovel loading some trucks
148sec exposure of the main ramp in the pit
The water plant (why I have been on nights)
Just a small storm in the background
and some frends to keep the night fun
Thanks
Chris

Re: Nightshift at work
Enjoyed the photos Chris; thanks for sharing them. Those were really good shots of your night friends!!! That is what you call shallow depth of field. What gear were you using to take the photos?

Hi Jeff
all but the BUG pics where on a tripod.
For the work pics I was useing 75-300 Canon lens with a Canon 550D body, very affordable equipment (and the misses would not let me take her 5D to work)
The bug shot i used a 18-55 lens same 550D body.

Awesome!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Thanks Chris, you did a great job and you should take the camera to work more often and show the photos you take, I really enjoyed seeing them. By the way, I don't blame the Misses not letting you take the 5D to work.

Maybe I am but I don't think a dusty and dirty mine site would be the best environment to be taking camera gear to a lot.gidget wrote:Sooks, my 5d goes everywhere

Great pics mate. Good to see you have channeled the extra night shifts you have been doing into your creative side. Good luck hunting on the skip bin cats tonight too!
