While you lads head into another summer we, on the flip side of the world, are looking at the white stuff. My wife and I were deer hunting in the interior of the province last week so I thought I'd throw out a few pics to cool you off.
Wolves have started to move in to this area. Here's a fresh track beside my glove (glove is an XL)
I was checking out an opening in the forest late one afternoon and found where a hawk had splashed down in the snow- probably chasing a mouse. A hawk "snow angel".
Enjoy your summer... it was a balmy -7C to -13C where we were at.

Could have used a bit of that today, the air-con packed it in and it was a damn hot ten hours home from work cq highlands was a bit too toasty today
