Awesome! Thanks, Otis!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Aaaahhhh Pera heads, imagine what the fishing was like there 30+ years ago. I saw at times acres [literally] of feeding spanish and tuna some leaping 3 metres into the air. Even seen a sail just sunning itself on the surface.Always said I would get back, never did. Great photos particularly the driftwood.All good.

bob,
loads of tuna about these days. they are almost (not really) annoying. always a few macs to fill the eski, and the last couple of years there have been a lot of sailfish and black marlin caught.so many that this year we have just had our first Billfish comp. i missed a nice sail about a month ago.

Great stuff Otis. After I left Weipa for the east coast again I couldnt pick up a rod for 2 years---too spoiled, but I eventually went back to sweet water with 2kg line. Got the adrenalin working again.Looks like you are making the most of your time there. Safe sailing and tight lines.
