Being eight is great!!!

#1 Post by Stickbow Hunter » Wed Nov 02, 2011 8:43 pm

Well the day finally came when Gracie, our eldest granddaughter, turned eight. She had been waiting for a few years for this day because she would then be able go for a ride on the road with Pop on his motor bike. Jude and I gave her a nice new pink helmet for her birthday and she just couldn't wait to try it out so this afternoon we did just that. I thought I would share some photos of one excited little girl - oh yeah Pop was kinda excited to. :lol:

We rode around for about half an hour and she would have liked longer but we still haven't got her a riding jacket so we just had to take it real careful. Dad, and especially Mum, were rather anxious about their little girl being on a motor bike as it was. It is so hard getting gear for kids and we had enough trouble getting a road helmet for her. Once we have some proper riding gear for her I think Pop will have a little offsider to take for a few rides while Nan waits at home. :mrgreen:

Anyway, a really special day for Gracie and Pop. :biggrin:

Good on ya, Jeff!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

It won't be long and she'll be wanting her own bike. Start them off young and teach them the right ways to ride. I t's great to see kids doing things they enjoy.
Cheers.
