Some Cunnamulla photos
I thought I would post up some non hunting photos from our trip.
This little fella couldn't fly real well so Rod caught it for a photo. I think it is a type of Robin. A shot taken near a watering trough; the birds are Major Mitchell's Cockatoos. I would dearly love a good tele zoom. These gums were in full flower but I don't know what type they are. I got Rod to try and hold these branches still - as the wind was blowing them about quite a bit - so I could get a decent photo or two. This next shot is the view from 'The Cave'. We returned to the Cruiser late one afternoon and I took the opportunity to take this snap. Just a shot of the Cruiser and I played with the colour a bit just to get a different effect.

Gotta say I am very jealous of you Jeff, looks like some beautiful country up there! I have just consulted my Eucalyptus bible by Brooker & Kleinig and looks like that gum tree is a Bloodwood, just not sure of the exact species and would probably need to see the fruit to determine that. I do know the reddish brown grass growing under the gum tree though, kangaroo grass. Apart from that not much help to ya

Shooters get to 50m to shoot, but only a hunter gets inside 20m to hunt.RABBITS (karen) wrote:NUTGRASS >>----> Nobody knows where he came from, & nobody knows how to get rid of him.

What a beautifull place! Now I wish I had a place just like that!
Your attention to detail is magnificent, I only wish I had the time to mimick a trip like that.
Thanks

Appreciate that Gidget, especially coming from such a fine photographer as yourself.gidget wrote:That shots for me is a cracker, it just says, I have been, seen & enjoyed the Aussie bush
Yes Graydon, it is a great place and one I have had the privilege of visiting and hunting for many years now. I have seen it in severe drought and also in some of the best seasons and each time there is beauty if one only looks. Over the years I have taken lots of people out their including locals and some from New Zealand, Austria and Japan and they have all loved the place. We certainly have had some great times out there. I most certainly appreciate the property owner allowing us to visit.hazard wrote:What a beautifull place! Now I wish I had a place just like that!
