Hi Kelly.
Love the sound of the arrows.

p.s The Fox and the Pig took a battering over the Abbey weekend and have stood up to the onslaught surprisingly well.

I had a look but they all seem to be for distance rather than accuracy, we have one guy at our club who shoots our 3D targets with his 120lb Yew bow, I do try drawing that but I am struggling to get it more than halfway! Mind you it makes anything feel light after!

Nar Gilly, the technique of drawing a heavy bow is the same for close range accuracy as for shooting for distance. You have to get the bow string back the same distance for both before the loose. We practice on standars butts heaps and I compete with the big bows no troubles.

Hi..thanks gilly..i will most likely be at the caboolture corrival so will take a chance on using the warbow there. Ive seen Len shoot his bow on youtube..bloody marvelous and very accurate..the man knows his stuff. im still learning..im about as accurate as a drunken cow trying to walk a straight line...i bought the bow for distance shooting but due to limited space i practice at 20 metres mostly..Got to keep rolling that shoulder over. No doubt will meet you there.

So it looks like you have to get your elbow higher then rotate it into normal position, is that right?

Yes very much so. A very high elbow rolling the shoulder to engage the back muscles fully.
