Shooting targets at LB's with the kids
The young fella has a bad habit of pulling back to past his ear, he hates it when the arrow comes out slow, so no matter how many times I show him & stand there every shot & tell him, it goes to at least his ear every draw
Then LB was like..... when are you going to take photo's of me
Then I was just a split second slow as he released & I ended up with a frame full of this
But we had a good time, although shooting arrows with a 5 & 3 year old can be very stressful But it is worth it........... I think

Great photos mate!!! I really like the fourth one - the concentration!
I think your little daughter could give you some lessons of shooting with a Mediterranean release.
May I suggest you make the kids some decent arras mate as those broom handles aren't much good for them.

Yes I made sure when I started teaching them that they used a split fingers style & they both surprise me, they may not be hitting the spot accurately, but geez they consistantly miss in a similar area So as they grow older I am sure they are going to whip me good & proper
I think so mate, was he one of the blokes we stumbled on in that back yard that timeRoadie wrote:Ay Gidget, the Ole Fella did we shoot with him some where. Cheers Roadie.

i'm at my mummy's house in Caboolture right now so i'm telling her about you nasty people
Re: Shooting targets at LB's with the kids
Fantastic photos. The look of concentration on the little ones is priceless.
I made some child sized arrows using the 1/4" dowels from 3Rivers. I ordered them when I ordered fiberglass. With a 1/4" point and some 4" shield cut feathers cut down to about 2.5" they are superb.
That last photo looks just right for a 'Wanted' Poster!

Well mate, I couldn't handle the guilt you had laid down upon me Not to mention once the wife read your post, she knew exactly where all her fly Rides had gone (whoops, did I say that out loud)Stickbow Hunter wrote: May I suggest you make the kids some decent arras mate as those broom handles aren't much good for them.
So the very arrows the kids are shooting in the above photo's were modified to make some arrows that suit a little better
The Daughter ended up with a 19" arrow & the boy got 2 arrows from 1 with an arrow length of 15.5"
So no pics of them in action yet, but a quick pic of them before they get launched
