Tawny Frogmouth.

#1 Post by GrahameA » Mon Dec 06, 2010 8:13 am

Morning All.

looked out the Window and noticed that one of the Frogmouths was in the tree. Connected up the 150-500 and snapped a few photos. Image would have been sharper if I had mounted the camera on a Tripod rather than hand-holding in what was not the brightest of days.

What I did wrong - I focused the camera on the beal rather than the centre of the eye. If I have used a tripod I could have stopped the lens down a bit and got a deeper depth of field an thus more of the bird would have been in focus. I can see that the new lens is going to be a whole ne learning experience. :D

Grahame keep an eye out for he wont be to fare away for another photo shot and the camera already mounted on the tripod Is always hard to have everything ready for that In the right place at the Right time photo shot.
Still a great photo mate I just love those birds.

Nice! Thanks for sharing that one.
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.
