Had to look for a bit but I see antlers and perhaps an ear.

Think I've got it...is it ok if I post a pic identifying what I saw?

Re: I spy
With the shallow depth of field it is hard to tell but perhaps a doe as well?

Damn off to the optomotrists tomorrow. all I can see [ apart from once they were circled] is bendy sticks and grass. Thats the worst of getting old and decrepit.

Re: I spy
I don't know Grant; I was looking at that earlier but wasn't sure if it was an animal or not. I'm not even sure if that is one in the second circle I made even after I colour corrected and sharpened it up.

Re: I spy
When I work out how to circle objects I will show you but there is also a hind looking at me, she is on the left hand side of the image just above the grass line in the blackberries, you can clearly see her ears and head.

Re: I spy
Paul, you are a man of little information. How many deer are in the photo? Is that a deer in the second circle of mine? These kind of photos get the old eyes working.

Re: I spy
Jeff I don't think so but there were 4 or 5 deer in the blackberries, the land drops away into a gully and the trees behind the deer are on the other side of the gully.
I thought there were only two deer in the shot but there could be more.

Re: I spy
Thanks Paul. I only just noticed you had circled the deer in the first photo. Rather large cirles I might add too.
What photography gear are you using for these photos? I think you were looking for a new camera not that long ago.

Re: I spy
I purchased a canon 500d with the twin lens kit then brought a canon ef 17-80 iu usm lens and last week brought a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS USM lens I am still learning how to use both camera and lens and will eventually up-grade the camera.
I wanted to buy quality a len rather than a top camera.
Cheers Mate

Re: I spy
Very nice!!! Is the 70-200mm f2.8 IS USM the new version two or the one. The version two is the next lens I would like as I don't have any lenses on longer side but I think it will be a long wait. Either version you should get excellent results with as they are brilliant lenses.
I think there may have been a typo with this lens - ef 17-80 iu usm - which one is it?

Re: I spy
Jeff it is not the IS USM II lens I can't afford that much, I got mine second hand, it build date was 12/09 but is in excellent condition for the moment.
the other lens is Canon EFS 17-85mm IS USM well that's what is printed on the side of the lens

Re: I spy
That 70 - 200 is a great lens mate and should give you some great shots. Yeah, I thought you would have meant the 17 -85 IS which would be a efs lens and not an ef one I would think. I look forward to more of your photos; I love the live animal shots!
