Yep, well-done, Paul, and thanks for sharing that one.
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Went out again as I have some new camera gear and trying to work out how to take decent pictures in low light.
This pic was taken of a hind in low light with high iso but slower shutter speed which made the background blury.

Mate, if I'm right don't you live near where the fires went through? I seem to remember you posting pics of a burnt deer you helped. Anyway, the land really seems to be bouncing back, looks great! The local creatures seem to be in good nick, too. Wonderful to see.

Moreton, these pictures were not taken in areas effected by the fires, In the fire effected areas there are deer about but most sign appears to be from deer moving through, I believe they are not yet living in the areas I have access to which is right in the heart of the fire affected areas.
I do think that in time they will return but at the moment there is huge amounts of feed and the regrowth is too thick to hunt.
In the areas where the fire was really hot it's taking a lot longer to recover.
