Anyone with advice regarding Period english Arrows

Hi Guy,

I am looking into making my own traditional english target and/or war arrows. i followed some advice for finding fletchings and ended up with these http://www.abbeyarchery.com.au/p/TF4GG0 ... ck+25.html. does anyone know if these would be the appropriot feathers to use. and dose anyone know were i can get some arrow heads (bodkin or target) that are sutible for the project.

Talk with White Hawk or Len send them a PM they are nutters ( in a nice way) on this stuff . White hawk runs Wildwood Archery they sell that sort of gear.

Angus, those flights are OK for a more modern style target arrow but if you want feathers to make up some medieval looking target arrows or some war arrows get onto White Hawk at Wildwood Archery,as Trad bound sais, he'll get you on the right track.

Look at this. Note, in particular, how he cuts the fletches.

This may also help - Using a Big Jig and Binding (?) this one.

Sigh! What's the point of using hand forged heads and poplar shafts if he's going to use fletching tape, superglue and PVA?
He can send the heads to shafts to me and I'll do it properly! There's no evidence I've seen that's post Otze's arrows for nock binding.

Pitch as a fletching glue is character building.
