More leather work - sheaths

#1 Post by gundy » Thu Jul 05, 2007 9:41 am

Made a pouch sheath for my Ontario belt knife and also a pack style sheath with stone pocket for it as well. Just need to clean and bevel the edges, seal, and then wax the leather and its all done.

I think it is refered to as "Saddle Leather".

It is quite thick but you can manipulate it and soften it up with 'snowseal'.

I get all my leather stuff from "H Leffler and Son" in Melbourne. Got some more to make a couple of back quivers the other day also, great people to deal with.
