Longbow.

#1 Post by bigbob » Sat Apr 07, 2018 4:24 pm

As I haven't posted here in quite a while I thought I better get my act together Few shots of a recent Asl type longbow but with a "pistol grip " riser. Bow is 68'' NTN and riser woods are black Bean/ Burdekin Plum and belly lams are hairy oak. As the new owner has a very long draw I also incorporated a reverse taper tip wedge to reduce string angle. It has some rather dramatic " finger grooves" on back overlay which are part functional and part decorative. It also has the green glass on back which I am quite partial too. Also the first bow where I have used the "Bearpaw" clear courtesy of big fella at Gringa bows. It is crystal clear!

The riser woods look excellent Bob as does the Hairy Oak. Nice work.

Thanks Perry, gets a bit hard at times with epoxy issues and poor quality clear glass from Gordons, but soldier on!

Came up nice Bob, the Hairy Oak is dazzling as usual. Good to know of the quality of the Bearpaw clear glass. Also like the new RaZor sticker, looks spot on.
