What to do with offcuts
You guys that make a few bows must know how hard it can be to throw away those small seemingly useless offcuts of quite often spectacular woods,,, well I can't bring myself to chuck them out.
It was my daughters 21 st birthday recently and now it's her best friends 21 st, so this is what I made for her out of those useless bits.
Not so useless any more .
Rob.

Re: What to do with offcuts
There's no doubt about it, you're a maestro with wood Rob.
There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.
Re: What to do with offcuts
Very nice indeed. I'm sure the girls love it
Re: What to do with offcuts
A lovely and amusing and inventive use of the offcuts.
I usually just stash them away, in the hope of making footings for arrows(which I haven't ever got around to doing). They sometimes get used for making dowels, for pinning mortise and tenon joints in the furniture that I make.
Lovely box Rob. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding Rob, I love the finish you get on your work, top class.
If they are long enough I palm of most of my small offcuts to Dad for turning pens. Some of the offcuts with accents in them come up nice.
Cheers... Rod
