hey nice one, intersting mounting arrangement there.

ive made one lately too, ive taken, ehem, inspiration from:

http://www.shrewbows.com/quivers_edge/index.html

it was a prototype to see if i could get it to work so its a bit rough and its only riveted, but ill make another one with all the lessone learned and do a nicer job. ill post some photos later

now that's a nice compact design, and would accept the widowmaker broadheads I am using, also like how a blunt can be carried too, and looks like less stuffing about to make, might be worth having a go I reckon, keep us posted with yours Fanto.

I look forward to seeing more detailed photos of the quiver and of when it is attached to a bow.

Thanks Sean. It looks very good. So the mounts just slide down the limbs until snug? If so I guess the quiver is bow specific then, or at least bows with similar limb cross section. Have you found the mounts move at all when the bow is shot, particularly when there are no arrows in the quiver?

Yep that's how it works Jeff, yes fairly bow specific but it fits all my 3 bows here and they are all different stack thickness, just sits a touch more on the riser with the 35# bow than it does with the 55#, hasn't moved yet Jeff but the addition of straps is in the pipeline,

That's excellent. You are multi talented it seems - bow maker, metal worker, leather crafter etc. It's great seeing people making their own equipment.

here is my latest go at a now quiver. just a quick one its a bit, err, utilitarian.

it works well though. the arrow grippers a bit floppy I think I'll add a metal washer top and bottom.

next one ill do a nice Mexican cross stitch hood.

cheers

Looks good Fanto but I think I would want to be able to carry more than three arrows.

thanks gents
i agree, i carry a safarituff arrowmaster . I havent got it all worked out yet. i find 5 or 6 700gr arrows too heavy on my bow, but the bow quiver is so convenient. ill keep plugging away until i work it out. hopefully i can keep tinkering for the next 30 or 50 years

Quick update to answer this for ya Jeff, not going to worry about straps now as the bow has had about 50 shots through it yesterday with the quiver fitted with and without arrows and didn't move at all, did change the padding to wet suit material but it was too slippery and needed strapping, so went back to the leather padding and it has been all good.
