3 D targets.

#1 Post by bigbob » Sat Sep 07, 2013 7:03 pm

Couple photos of few targets I've been busy with lately. Made of some polystyrene sort of , thick, dense foam about a foot thick. It is covered with hessian and coated with bondcrete in multiple layers, especially around scoring zone.Tried a wheely bow of about 55# at 15m and arrow only penetrates about one third of length. From a usual target distance they seem hard to pick form the 'real deal' costing mega dollars.Percy the porker is in the early stages of build time!

Hi Bob.

Great. Amazing what can be done.

Thanks for the kind words people. I appreciate it. Got a goat on the assembly line too. Hope to have them mostly done next weekend.Been checking on caravans, etc around the club area and there is one called Big 4 resort and park , very close , like couple K's away. We will get in touch with them a bit closer to when it may happen, re bulk bookings for discounts .Still may not get it all together , meaning our club generally, in time this year.

Great stuff Bob. It's kind of fun isn't it, Graham foster and I made quite a few a while back for the Tully club and most of them are still going strong.

Man they are first class Rob, inspired me a bit more as I deliberately left mine a bit 'blocky' to allow more margin of strength but seeing yours feel obliged to 'finesse' them a little more.
