Ok here is some pics of the bow I made for a bow swap on another site.
The skin is one snake and I am amazed at the difference in the pattern. It is an eastern black rat snake very common in the US.
Side profile
A bit shinny I just can't bring myself to dull it.
Nice and toasty limbs
Well she really thumps and arrow let me tell you. I did not take any pics of the full draw on this one. I will let the new owner take them. This is my first R/D bow. The draw really looked like it had a bad hing in the same spot on both limbs that were not there before I toasted it and put in on the caul. Once it was shaped I drew it I really thought I caused a problem. I did retiller it a bit to get it to the draw length and weight. But never got ride of the hing look. I think it is the R/D profile that caused it. (I HOPE).
Also this bow as really light when I got close to finishing it up about 10# or so. So I did cut 1.5" of the tips, toasted the belly while adding the R/D. And gained probably 15# or more. I stopped drawing it at 25" when I hit the 51# mark. And tillered her out to 28" and at about 53#.

Hey Kelly it looks great. What wood is it made from and also what length is it? Also mate it is of deflex/reflex design and not reflex/deflex as you say.

Jeff,
It is Hack berry, a fairly common tree in the eastern US. It is about 62" ttt. Pulling about 50lbs at 28". Hackberry is a very under used wood here in the US for bows. It is not yew or Osage but it will give hickory a run for it's money. And toasting the belly really gave it some snap. It makes the arrows really pop when they hit the target.
Thanks for looking,
Kelly

Thanks for the update Kelly. It looks a good wood and I like the character bends in it also.

Welcome Jeff
Yep Hackberry is usual very straight, but I find a knot hidden under the bark. It does give them some character.
